Fellowship through Fun
The goal of this ministry is to foster fellowship, offer opportunities to socialize, and even have a little fun for our parishioners. This ministry is made up of smaller independent sub-groups / ministries who accomplish these events. At present, these include "Adult Bunco", "Catholic Game Night", "Faithful Friends", and "Ladies Auxiliary Ministry". There is no limit to how many fellowship and fun activities we can have in our parish. If you have an idea for an event and would like to form a sub-group to accomplish it or just want to know more or help on-going activities contact Bernie Regel at [email protected] .

Adult Bunco
Most Recent Bunco:
Sunday Sept 14 was BUNCO Sunday. Our last one at SMM for 2025. We had 56 players who had fun, fellowship, food, and yelling BUNCO. For the second straight time tying our record largest crowds. Unexpired food items were collected for the SMM Social Apostolate.Thanks to Stacy Pecoraro, Joe Dicharry, Patsy Bates, Babette Staunton, B J Paretti, Lynette Driscoll, Alisa Gomez, and Bernie Regel for making the day a special one. Thanks also to all the players who helped also.

During the year, St Mary Magdalen and St Matthew, working together, alternate dates to provide fellowship and fun playing Bunco (or some say Bonco). Since 2019, SMM Leaders Stacy & Tony Pecoraro and Bernie and the late Gayle Regel, with Joe and Nancy Dicharry, Lynette Driscoll, Alisa Gomez, Babette Staunton, Patsy Bates, and BJ Paretti have brought Bunco fun for all to our parish and food and money to the Social Apostolate.
Next St Mary Magdalen Church Bunco is TBD in 2026
Next St Matthew Church Bunco is Nov 16. Doors open at 2PM and game starts at 2:30 PM. Cost is $5. Soft drinks and water provided. Please bring your own party food to share. Must be 21 to play. This will be their last one this year.

Catholic Game Night
Most Recent GAME NIGHT:
Last Monday Sept 8, our seventh Catholic Game Night featured Catholic Bingo! Forget Bingo numbers -- for Catholic Bingo, all you needed that night were answers! A unique twist on Bingo that brings us closer one question at a time! while increasing our knowledge on our faith. Our next Game Night is Monday Oct. 27 so put that date in your calendar and come join us.It was a lot of fun. 15 people yelling BINGO !!!! 30x . We know it was 30x cause we had 30 large size candy bars that each player got for yelling BINGO and we ran out of candy. Each player who got BINGO, also received 1 chance at one of three gift cards to Cold Stone Creamery. There were drinks, snacks, and door prizes also.********************************************************************Unexpired food items were collected for the SMM Social Apostolate. Thanks to Fellowship through Fun members Elizabeth Angell, Julie Fabregas, Stacy and Tony Pecoraro, Babette Staunton, Lynette Driscoll, and Bernie Regel who all helped put this on.

This ministry combines fellowship and fun while teaching us more about our faith. Deacon Jim Heneghan, Babette Staunton, Julie Fabregas, Stacy and Tony Pecoraro, Elizabeth Angell, Maria Steen, Lynette Driscoll, and Bernie Regel help bring game night to the parish. There are always free raffle prizes and free drinks and snacks. Food and money are collected for Social Apostolate.

Our eighth Catholic Game Night will feature Catholic Card Game. It will be on Monday October 27th at 7:00 PM in the Discipleship Center. Doors open at 6:45 PM, and games start at 7:00 PM. Must be 18 or older to play.
As always, there's no admission fee, but please bring an unexpired food item for the SMM Social Apostolate. We will once again have drinks, snacks, a 50/50 raffle, and a door prize raffle.History of Game Nights
The first Game night was Catholic Trivia on June 10, 2024, Since the we have had Catholic Card Game for Night 2, Catholic Trivia Bingo for Night 3, and just began the new year (after a SNOW DAY) on Monday Feb. 3 with a repeat Catholic Card Game for Night 4. For rest of 2025 we had Catholic Trivia for Night 5, Catholic Card Game for Night 6, and most recently Catholic Bingo for Night 7. Below are links to photos from previous game nights:

Ladies Auxiliary Ministry
During the year this ministry hosts "Sit and Paint" events where parishioners create works of art. They host ice cream socials and have coffee and donuts after mass. Every year they bring Santa and the Easter Bunny for a visit and to hang out with our kids and have pictures. To see more about these events and about the ministry click Link to Ladies Auxiliary

Faithful FriendsNew group just created to include all community members in the St. Mary Magdalen Parish and area. They are primarily a group that is an all-inclusive, men & women and is also family friendly. They hope to hold events that will bring the community together socially. A few things that they have discussed: Movie nights, bingo, corn hole tournaments, game nights, dinners, adult socials, family socials, seafood dinners, family picnics and outdoor Masses.
