New group to include all community members in St. Mary Magdalen Parish and the Airline Park area. We are primarily a an all-inclusive group of men & women that is also family friendly. We hope to hold events that will bring the community together socially. A few things that we have discussed: Movie nights, bingo, corn hole tournaments, game nights, dinners, adult socials, family socials, seafood dinners, family picnics, and outdoor Masses. Meetings every 1^st Monday of the month at 6:30 pm ( new time ) in Massett Hall (Cafeteria).  All adults invited.  Bring your favorite food item to share and your own beverage of choice.  Water, ice, and paper products will be provided.  We are also planning to hold many fun-filled events for adults and our families. Attend a meeting to socialize and enjoy some good food with good friends.

1)    Because of the weather we have had to postpone the Pet Blessing until November 1st.  Registration is at 3:00 Blessing at 3:30.  Please pass this along to anyone you invited. We will need help with directing people, trash and a few other miscellaneous tasks.

2)     Our regular meeting/social is Monday night October 5^th at 6:30 in the cafeteria.  We only have the craft fair to discuss then we will eat and socialize before the Saints game starts.  For anyone who would like to stay we will have the Saints/Falcons game on.  Kickoff is at 7:15

3.       Craft Fair Saturday October 24^th 9-2 (we will have one more meeting/social before the craft fair, Monday, October 5^th at 6:30 in the cafeteria - we will have the Saints/Atlanta game on the TV). Sign up Committee
a)      Donuts/coffee (we will need someone to pick up the donuts, make coffee and make sure the table stays stocked)
b)     Booths coming in
c)      Two people working the check in table for vendors to sign in and receive their packet and lanyards


Set-Up Committee
a)      Mark off booth areas, day before
b)     Set up tables in the cafeteria for people to eat and cool off (there will be no booths in the cafeteria
c)      Tablecloths on tables
d)     Make sure the vendors who rent tables have one in their booth


Sign Committee
a)    Contact parishioners who had a sign on their lawn last year and confirm they want one this year. Once the signs are ready we will announce a day and time people can pick them up.  We want to make sure the signs are spread around on a lot of different streets.  As we did last year, we want all of the signs back so we can reuse them.  
b)     Putting up signage around the campus directing people where to go for vendors, bathrooms, food, etc.
 
Clean-Up Committee
a)      Clean cafeteria before and after show
b)     Keeping up with the trash during and after show
c)      Making sure everything on the backfield is picked up before the children return to school on Monday.

The SMM Community Sale was the first event under this newly formed "Faithful Friends". More than $6330 was collected during the Community Sale; all of which went towards the SMM capital campaign. Yes, the money collected was great, but the community togetherness was just as important. Thanks to Susan Arthur for the initial idea and the leadership. Thanks to key leaders Babette Staunton, Regina Fleming, and Nancy Dicharry who helped her. Thanks to the over 40 different parishioners, who rolled up their selves and helped at various times. Thanks to the congregation for an overwhelming amount of great donated items and for coming out and supporting this effort!  Lots of fun, fellowship, and great new friendships happened during the planning, organization, and operation of this event.
