Faithful Friends Kick Off Meetingwas last Monday August 4th. Great turnout ! Was around 90 parishioners who attended. Many more who could not attend indicated they were interested in joining.
There was lots of food and beverages. Thank you to all who brought food items and a Big Shout to Susan Landry for the excellent Lasagna that was the featured food item.
Thanks to intern committee members who are guiding us through the early stages of this new organiation.
SMM Community Sale (6/14/25) "Another Man's Treasure"
The SMMCommunity Sale was the first event under this newly formed "Faithful Friends". More than $6330 was collected during the Community Sale; all of which went towards the SMM capital campaign. Yes, the money collected was great, but the community togetherness was just as important. Thanks to Susan Arthur for the initial idea and the leadership. Thanks to key leaders Babette Staunton, Regina Fleming, and Nancy Dicharry who helped her. Thanks to the over 40 different parishioners, who rolled up their selves and helped at various times. Thanks to the congregation for an overwhelming amount of great donated items and for coming out and supporting this effort! Lots of fun, fellowship, and great new friendships happened during the planning, organization, and operation of this event.
