Mary: A Biblical Walk with the Blessed Mother is an extraordinary pilgrimage that reveals Mary’s unique role in God’s kingdom and in our lives. Presented by the Adult Faith Formation Ministry on Monday, December 1st at 9:15 AM repeated at 6:00 PM, and on Monday, December 15th at 9:15 AM repeated on Tuesday, December 16th at 6:00 PM. All sessions will be held in the SMM Discipleship Center.

This year, December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the patronal feast of the United States of America, falls on the Monday following the Second Sunday of Advent. Masses for the holyday will be on Monday, December 8th at 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM. Catholics are obligated to attend Mass for the Second Sunday of Advent and for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Both obligations cannot be satisfied with a single Mass. U.S. Bishops Issue a “Special Message” on Immigration from their Plenary Assembly in Baltimore. The Catholic bishops of the United States issued a Special Message addressing their concern for the evolving situation impacting immigrants in the United States. On Tuesday, November 18th, at 2:00 PM, the Archdiocese of New Orleans will officially welcome Bishop James Checchio as our coadjutor bishop with a special Mass by invitation only. National Vocation Awareness Week, celebrated this year on November 2nd – 8h, is an annual week-long celebration dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering a religious vocation.

Because November 1, All Saints Day, falls on a Saturday, it is NOT a holyday of obligation in 2025. Our annual Mass of Remembrance, which commemorates parishioners and their family members who have died in the past year, will be held on Saturday, November 1, at the 4:00 PM Vigil Mass.
