The St. Jude Society made 50+ bags for the homeless at the Rebuild Center behind St. Joseph’s Church on Tulane Avenue. The items included in each bag were toiletries, t-shirts, socks, gloves, and other necessities essential for those in need. Thank you to president, Randy Persia, for spearheading this activity. Mary's strong faith and her obedience to God's will brought the Son of God into the world to save us from sin and death... The Church celebrates the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, on New Year's Day. Masses for this holyday of obligation are as follows: Vigil Mass - 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31. Masses on New Year's Day, January 1, 2026, are at 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM.

Masses for Christmas are as follows: Vigil Masses: 4:00 PM, 6:00 PM (Children's Mass), and 10:00 PM. Masses on Christmas Day: 8:30 AM, 10;30 AM, and 6:00 PM.

During Advent we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ by receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession.) In addition to the regular confession schedule, Fr. Chris will hear confessions on Saturday, December 20 from 1:30 - 3:30 PM and from 5:00 - 6:00 PM, and on Sunday, December 21 from 5:15 - 5:45 PM. He will also hear confessions on Wednesday, December 24 from 2:00 - 3:30 PM.

Christmas Eve at 6:00 PM Mass (Following the Gospel) All children are invited to experience the true reason for the Christmas season by acting out the Gospel events surrounding the birth of Baby Jesus. Mary: A Biblical Walk with the Blessed Mother is an extraordinary pilgrimage that reveals Mary’s unique role in God’s kingdom and in our lives. Presented by the Adult Faith Formation Ministry on Monday, December 1st at 9:15 AM repeated at 6:00 PM, and on Monday, December 15th at 9:15 AM repeated on Tuesday, December 16th at 6:00 PM. All sessions will be held in the SMM Discipleship Center.

This year, December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the patronal feast of the United States of America, falls on the Monday following the Second Sunday of Advent. Masses for the holyday will be on Monday, December 8th at 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM. Catholics are obligated to attend Mass for the Second Sunday of Advent and for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Both obligations cannot be satisfied with a single Mass.
